Material:
Plymouth
Yarn “Encore,” worsted weight, 75% acrylic, 25% wool,
Br. Yellow (A), Orange (B), White (C), one
skein each.
Size 7, 16 inch circular needle and set
of 4 or 5 double point needles.

stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches

circumference: 19 inches
Directions:
With
Yellow (A) cast on 80 stitches on circular needle, place marker and join to
knit in the round being careful not to twist stitches.
Work in k2, p2 ribbing for 6 rounds.
Change to Orange (B) and knit in
stockinette stitch (knitting every stitch) until piece measures 6 inches from
cast on edge.
Begin Decreasing as follows:
Row 1: K6, K2tog. Repeat through end of
row.
Rows 2, 4, 6: Knit.
Row 3: K5, K2tog. Repeat through end of
row.
Row 5: K4, K2tog. Repeat through end of
row.
Row 7: K3, K2tog. Repeat through end of
row.
Row 8: Change to White (C). Knit.
Rows 9-13: Knit.
Row 14: K2, K2tog. Repeat through end of
row.
Rows 15-19: Knit.
Row 20: K1, K2tog. Repeat through end of
row.
Rows 21-25: Knit.
Row 26: K2tog and continue until 4
stitches remain.
Cut yarn leaving 6 inch tail. With yarn
needle thread tail through remaining stitches, secure and pull tail to wrong
side. Weave in all ends.
